Over 100 people were detained for screening, while several cartons of suspected illicit drugs were recovered from the club’s store and from party attendees. Among the seized substances were Loud, a strong strain of cannabis, and multiple canisters of nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas.

In a statement signed by NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, the agency said the operation followed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and was part of its intensified crackdown on drug trafficking and abuse nationwide.

“The raid followed intelligence about the drug party,” Babafemi said. “Our operatives embedded at the venue from 11 p.m. on Saturday disrupted the gathering around 3 a.m. Sunday in accordance with the agency’s SOPs.”

Pretty Mike, identified as the owner of the nightclub, was taken into custody alongside several others. NDLEA sources said investigations are ongoing to determine his level of involvement and whether charges will be filed.

The NDLEA Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd.), praised the officers involved in the successful operation, urging them to maintain vigilance and professionalism. “We must sustain a balanced approach to drug control that combines enforcement with public education and community engagement,” he stated.

Meanwhile, the NDLEA also intercepted a separate drug shipment at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja. Seventy parcels of cocaine weighing 3.60 kilograms were found hidden inside cocoa butter containers bound for London on an Air Peace flight.

A cargo agent, Lawal Mustapha Olakunle, who presented the shipment, was arrested, leading to the capture of Ogunmuyide Taiwo Deborah, a healthcare worker, and Mutiu Adebayo Adebiyi, a travel agency executive.
