• NDYCN disowns Becham Ufuoma, describes him as an impersonator with no mandate
• Youth council declares full support for Amnesty Programme under Dr. Dennis Otuaro
• Says false claims, parallel structures and misleading publications will not be tolerated
The Niger Delta Youth Council of Nigeria (NDYCN) has disowned a publication circulated by one Mr. Becham Ufuoma, whom it described as an impostor falsely parading himself as the President of the organisation.
In a statement issued by the recognised National President, Amb. Blessing Adogbeji, the council said Ufuoma has never been elected, appointed, or endorsed at any level of NDYCN’s structure and therefore lacks the authority to speak for the organisation or the youths of the Niger Delta.

Adogbeji stressed that NDYCN has only one legitimate leadership, noting that his position as National President is acknowledged by regional stakeholders, youth blocs, and partner institutions. He described Ufuoma’s public statements as reckless, misleading, and driven by desperation for relevance.

He said the organisation completely dissociates itself from Ufuoma’s comments and rejected attempts to float a parallel structure, calling such actions fraudulent and damaging to the integrity of the council.
The NDYCN also reaffirmed its firm support for the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) under Chief (Dr.) Dennis Burutu Otuaro, describing his leadership as the most stable and development-focused since the programme began.
The council noted that Otuaro’s administration has delivered peace, transparency, and tangible impact across the region.
Adogbeji added that anybody attacking the PAP boss without facts is displaying ignorance of governance processes in the Niger Delta.
He urged the public to disregard Ufuoma’s publication in its entirety, insisting that the said individual has no platform, constituency, or mandate to issue statements on behalf of Niger Delta youths.
