The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has issued a warning to students and the public regarding a fake loan portal circulating online. The fraudulent link, http://gvly.xyz/Nelfund-Student-Loan, falsely claims to be the Student Loan Registration Portal.

In a statement on its verified X handle, NELFUND emphasised that this link is unauthorised and urged students not to provide any personal information. The Fund confirmed that official student loan registration is only available through its official website and verified social media channels.

NELFUND stressed the importance of vigilance online, advising applicants to verify all announcements and report any suspicious links or communications purporting to be from the agency.
