Nepal’s Prime Minister, Khadga Oil, has thanked India for generously donating one million doses of COVID-19 vaccine to his nation.

India, one of the world’s leading drug makers, has been reportedly sending COVID-19 vaccines to neighbouring countries since Wednesday, January 20.

The India-made COVID-19 vaccine from Oxford University and AstraZeneca is to be first given to health workers, cleaners and other front-line staff within the next two weeks.

Meanwhile, Nepal has recorded 264,780 cases of coronavirus, including 1,917 deaths, as the country is in further negotiations with India authorities to get more vaccine.
