Netflix producer and Chairman of Yoozoo Games Lin Qi, is dead.

The 39-year-old died following a few days of illness allegedly caused by a poisoned tea.

The late Chinese billionaire is responsible for the Game of Thrones: Winter Is Coming game.

His Yoozoo Group acquired the rights to Chinese sci-fi trilogy, The Three Body Problem in 2015.

Netflix had announced an adaption of the books into an English series in collaboration with Game of Thrones creators, David Benioff and D. B. Weiss.

Lin’s colleague, Xu Yao has been identified has suspect behind the poisoning and has since been arrested by Shanghai Police.

“Goodbye youth. We will be together, continue to be kind, continue to believe in goodness, and continue the fight against all that is bad”, Lin’s company said in a statement.

Lin reportedly established Yoozoo in 2009 and was pegged at about 6.8billion yuan rich by the to Hurun China Rich List.
