Netflix Puts Will Smith’s Upcoming Film, Fast And Loose, On hold following The Oscars Slap

Netflix has put Will Smith’s upcoming film, Fast And Loose, on hold.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix made the decision in response to the backlash from Will’s shocking Oscars slap.
The film had already lost its intended director before Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars, complicating the production even more.
Netflix began looking for a new director, but after the Oscars incident, Netflix decided to put the film on hold.
Fast And Loose was supposed to be directed by Deadpool 2 director David Leitch, but he dropped out just a week before the Oscars.
Both Netflix and Universal has been competing for new project from Leitch , but the traditional studio piqued his interest more than the streaming platform.
It’s unclear whether the project will be canceled or recast with a new star and director team.
