NFF Commiserates With 3SC Ibadan Over Death of Manager, Balogun

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has expressed sympathy over the death of Mr Rasheed Balogun.

Balogun happened to be the General Manager of Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan, 3SC, before his death.

The Ibadan-based club disclosed that the deceased passed away on Thursday night.

The coach reportedly breathed his last after weeks in the hospital.

The club confirmed the departure which was said to be an upshot of the illness he had battled for months.

3SC made revelation about their coach’s death via a statement on its Twitter handle.

Balogun departed this world after having spent 62 years on the surface of the earth.

That said, NFF sympathized with the management and players of the club, 3SC, over the loss.

Also, the General Secretary of the NFF, Dr Mohammed Sanusi said the death was a big loss.

Sanusi made the disclosure via a statement on Friday, 21st.

The statement reads: “It is with heavy hearts that we have learned of the passing on of Rasheed Balogun, someone we have known over the years as an energetic, dedicated and charismatic club administrator. He was passionate about the game and was a frontline actor in the country’s domestic game for several decades. His death at this time is heartbreaking.”

“On behalf of the entire Nigeria Football family, we pray for the repose of his soul and that God will grant those he has left behind, including the 3SC family, the fortitude to bear the big loss.”
