The 2023 governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger state, Umar Mohammed Bago, has dissociated himself from youth restiveness and thuggery in Minna metropolis.

The gubernatorial candidate, who stated this at an enlarged strategic security meeting, held at Idris Legbo Kutigi International Conference Centre, Minna, said he is not a thug and had never been engaged in any of such acts as being linked by people of the state.

Bago said: “Anytime arrests are made, people will say it is Bago boys, but I have never asked anyone to go and cause disturbance and had never bailed anyone arrested by the security personnel before.
