Niger President, Mohamed Bazoum was on Wednesday detained by members of the Presidential Guard.
Daily Report Nigeria reports that the Guard said it was issued an “ultimatum” by the army to carry out the act.
The guard further sealed off access to the president’s residence and offices following a break down of talks and “refused to release the president”.
