Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Niger State and Catholic Bishop of Kontagora Diocese, Most Rev. Dr. Bulus Dauwa Yohanna, urged residents to participate actively in the elections.
Bishop Yohanna emphasized that voter apathy could weaken the democratic process and encouraged all registered voters to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) from INEC offices promptly.
“The local government elections are approaching, and I appeal to those who have not collected their PVCs to do so immediately to avoid last-minute rushes,” Bishop Yohanna said. He further encouraged Christian citizens to engage fully in the political process, either by joining parties or making informed voting choices.
