Hadi Sirika, a former aviation minister was on Thursday grilled by the Department of State Services (DSS) over the ‘fraudulent’ launch of Nigeria Air.
Daily Report Nigeria reports that Sirika reported at the DSS headquarters on in Abuja for questioning in a Range Rover SUV and was severely grilled for several hours by officials of the secret police.
Sirika’s questioning is coming on the the of a revelation by the acting managing director of Nigeria Air, Captain Dapo Olumide, that the plane used in unveiling Nigeria Air was a chartered aircraft from Ethiopian Airlines.

Olumide, who was scrutinized by the Senate Committee on Aviation said was only used to unveil the Nigeria Air logo.

He added that the airline was not yet operational.
Recall that the the launch of Nigeria Air was greeted with wide criticised and was labeled a scam.
The plane used in unveiling the airline was revealed to be more than 10 years old.
It was also adjudged to have been previously been used by both Ethiopian Airlines and Malawi Airlines.
