Nigeria Biggest Loser of 2023 Presidential Election – Atiku Reacts to S'Court's Judgment | Daily Report Nigeria

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the judgment of the Supreme Court which upheld the election of President Bola Tinubu.

Atiku, in his reaction speech at Monday’s press conference, declared the Supreme Court judgment shows that Nigeria is the bigger loser.

According to the PDP Candidate, the court’s decision suggests that “crime is good and should be rewarded.”

He asked:

If the Supreme Court says that it is okay for the president to forge his certificates, then what does that say about the future of our country?

“If the president can get away with this, then what other crimes will he commit?”

On the apex court’s refusal to tender the academic records of President Tinubu, Atiku said:

The Supreme Court’s decision to refuse to consider the evidence is a travesty of justice.

“It shows that the court is more interested in protecting the president than in upholding the law.”

Recall that Atiku had sought to tender fresh evidence challenging the results of the February presidential election.

The Supreme Court however dismissed his appeal during its final judgement on Friday.
