The Federal Government has announced that Thursday, May 1, 2025, will be a public holiday to mark this year’s Workers’ Day Celebration in Nigeria. Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made this known in a statement on Tuesday night in Abuja.

Tunji-Ojo commended workers for their diligence and sacrifice, saying, “Workers’ efforts are largely responsible for the greatness of the country and the respect Nigeria commands in the comity of nations.”
