Nigeria’s Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has revealed that the country has not experienced any national grid collapse in the first four months of 2025.
Speaking during the sixth Ministerial Press Briefing in Abuja on Thursday, Adelabu attributed the improvement to recent power sector reforms and increased generation capacity.
“In the last four months, Nigeria has not experienced grid disturbances. Unlike in the past when the grid collapsed upon reaching 5,000 megawatts, the grid reached the highest energy of 5,801.63 megawatts as the latest feat and did not experience collapse,” he said.
