The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has won the presidential election in Jigawa State.

The Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, made the announcement on Monday morning at the INEC headquarters, Dutse, the state capital.

The collation officer Prof. Arma Ya’u Jamisu Bichi who made the announcement said the presidential candidate of the ruling APC Bola Ahmad Tinubu, scored 421,390, followed by Atiku Abubakar of PDP who got 386,587, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the NNPP who scored 98,234 and Peter Obi of the LP who got 1,889 votes.

According to him, APC won the presidential election with a slim margin of 34,803 votes against the PDP in Jigawa.

The total number of votes cast is 954,805, valid votes are 92,531, and rejected votes are 34,274.

While the total number of registered voters are 2,341,041 out of which 961,670 were accredited.
