The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has won the Saturday, presidential election in Bayelsa State with a total of 68, 818 votes.

Results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission show that Atiku got 68, 818 votes ahead of Peter Obi of the Labour Party, who polled 49, 975 votes

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, got a total of 42, 572 votes to clinch the third position.

The Result was announced on Monday night by the State Returning Officer and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Benin, Prof. Lilian Salami, at the Prof. Mahmood Yakubu Media Centre, Yenagoa INEC office.
