The Nigerian Air Force has carried out precision airstrikes in the Sambisa Forest area, destroying four gun trucks and several logistics assets belonging to terrorists.
The air operation, conducted on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, reportedly led to the destruction of key terrorist equipment and the neutralisation of several insurgents operating in the region.

According to Ehimen Ejodame, the Director of Public Relations and Information for the Nigerian Air Force, the strikes were carried out following credible intelligence and sustained aerial surveillance of terrorist movements in the area.
Ejodame explained that the operation significantly disrupted the activities of insurgent groups.
“The strikes disrupted the adversary’s operational mobility and reinforced the effectiveness of intelligence-driven airpower in support of ongoing security efforts,” he said.
Military officials noted that the successful strikes destroyed four gun trucks used by the insurgents, along with other logistics assets believed to support their operations.
The mission forms part of ongoing counter-insurgency efforts under Operation Hadin Kai, which is aimed at combating terrorism and restoring stability across Nigeria’s North-East region.
The latest air operation follows a recent statement by the Chief of the Air Staff, Sunday Kelvin Aneke, who reaffirmed the Air Force’s commitment to maintaining strong aerial dominance in the ongoing fight against insurgency.
Aneke emphasised that sustained air superiority remains critical to supporting ground forces and consolidating the gains made by security agencies in the region.
Security operations in the North-East have intensified in recent months as the military continues efforts to dismantle insurgent networks and restore peace to affected communities.
