Rukayat Gawat Oyefeso, a renowned Islamic singer from Nigeria, has sadly passed away. The news of her death was confirmed on Tuesday morning by an Ilorin-based cleric, Alfa Aribidesi At-Tawdeeh, through his official Facebook page.

Additionally, Jubril Gawat, a media aide to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, also expressed his condolences. He shared a brief message on X, formerly known as Twitter, quoting a verse from the Quran:

“Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return,” referencing Quran chapter 2, verse 156.
