A lawyer identified as Eze Agala, collapsed unconscious outside a courthouse in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

Agala, who hailed from Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area, collapsed while leaving the Magistrate Court building at Moscow Street, in Garden City.

He was immediately taken to the Police Clinic where he was pronounced dead on arrival

While the leadership of the NBA chapter in Port Harcourt is yet to comment on the matter, another lawyer in the state, Mr. Felix Asimole, has confirmed the incident through a WhatsApp message shared on various platforms.

Rivers Women Protest Against PHEDC

Meanwhile, some women living in Diobu Mile 1 and Mile 3 areas of Port Harcourt, the River State capital have protested against the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHEDC).

According to the women, the recent power outages and overnight heat waves in Garden City are having a negative impact on them.

Waving placards and singing songs, the protesting women insist that the food in the refrigerator spoils and must be thrown away regularly.
