  • The man was arrested after ingesting cocaine in South Africa.

  • He was said to have excreted cocaine worth over seven million rands

A Nigerian man has been taken into custody by the South African Police force, for drug trafficking.

Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the 55-year-old ingested cocaine worth R7.5 million.

He was arrested at OR Tambo International Airport from Saõ Paulo, Brazil on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.

Confirming the arrest, the police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel said the man was still excreting bullets and would be made to appear in the Kempton Park Magistrates’ Court soon.

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has responded to a 48-hour ultimatum from the state House of Assembly.

The Assembly had demanded that Fubara re-present the 2025 Appropriation Bill following a Supreme Court judgment.
