The security forces in Dominican Republic have confirmed the arrest of a Nigerian man.
According to reports, the accused had escape from prison, attempting to evade his drug trafficking charge.

Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the Human Trafficking and Smuggling Investigation Department in Dominican Republic have arrested one IK Egbor after escaping prison on March 30, 2024 during a mass breakout ”
It was gathered that he had attempted to fly out of the country, but was arrested while attempting to create a fake travel document, according to him, he had post his means of identification.
However, upon investigation, it was gathered that Egbor had no legal entry into the country.

Egbor is said to have been earlier arrested for attempting to traffic hard drugs by storing them in his abdomen.
Working hand in hand, the international alert and joint investigation with the General Directorate of Migration, was able to identify and arrest the culprit
He will be extradited to Haiti’s Bureau Lutte Trafic Stupéfiant (BLTS/DCPJ) to face judicial proceedings.
