President-elect, Bola Tinubu has stated that Nigerians are deserving of a better country ruled by him.
Tinubu made the statement on Thursday in his acceptance speech after receiving the National Honour of Grand Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR) title from President Muhammadu Buhari.
Tinubu recognized the trust and responsibility bestowed upon him as the incoming President.

He spoke confidently about his administration’s plans to reach out to President Buhari whenever necessary, emphasizing his determination to provide Nigerians with a better country.
The President-elect was the 16th person to receive the GCFR Honour following in the footsteps of Nnamdi Azikiwe, Obafemi Awolowo, Shehu Shagari, Olusegun Obasanjo, Abdulsalami Abubakar, Ibrahim Babangida, Ernest Shonekan, Sani Abacha, Umaru Yar’Adua, Goodluck Jonathan and Moshood Abiola.
The Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima was also given the honour of Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON).
