Nigerians have taken to social media to express their excitement and support for Victor Osimhen following his confirmed loan move to Galatasaray.

The star striker, who recently faced uncertainty after a failed transfer to Chelsea, has now secured a temporary switch to the Turkish giants. This development has sparked widespread reactions among fans and pundits alike.

Many Nigerian football enthusiasts see Osimhen’s move to Galatasaray as a great opportunity for him to showcase his talent on a new stage.

The loan deal, which runs until June 2025, does not include an option or obligation to buy, leaving Osimhen with a chance to return to Napoli or make another career move after his stint in Turkey.

On Twitter and Facebook, the hashtag #OsimhenToGalatasaray began trending shortly after the announcement, with fans expressing their joy and optimism for the Super Eagles striker.

One user, Valking “Biggest transfer news this season”

Another added, “Straight to cop my Galatasaray jersey 🤞🏽.”

Some fans also praised Osimhen’s resilience and determination, highlighting his ability to bounce back from setbacks.

A fan commented, “Victor Osimhen has shown incredible strength of character throughout his career. This move to Galatasaray is just another step in his journey to greatness. We are all behind you, Victor!”

Meanwhile, a few pundits have weighed in on the move, discussing the potential impact it could have on Osimhen’s career. Nigerian football analyst, Pooja Media said,

“Victor Osimhen stood his ground & Napoli never believed that an African would be so tough like that. Despite the obvious frustration, he demanded his worth & he made Napoli shift grounds. Henceforth, Nigerian players & by extension Africans will be RESPECTED by European clubs.”

Despite the overall positive reception, a few fans expressed disappointment over the absence of a buy option in the loan deal, arguing that a permanent move might have provided more stability for the striker. However, the general consensus remains that this is a positive development for Osimhen, who has endured a challenging few months.

Victor Osimhen himself made a public statement about the move,

“They came here at this time of night (3am). I can already feel them. I will dedicate myself for them every match.”

As Victor Osimhen prepares to embark on this new adventure, Nigerian fans remain hopeful that their beloved striker will shine brightly in Turkey and continue to make his mark on the global football stage.
