Former Chelsea defender, John Terry has confirmed that Nigerian citizens know how to enjoy life.

The 41-year-old revealed that he loves the vigour and warmth of Nigerians.

He also said that he had an incredible time with the West African giants

In the recent past, Terry arrived in Nigeria to feature in a game tagged “Battle of the Greats” at Onikan Stadium.

He alongside Real Madrid legend Roberto Carlos arrived in Lagos on Thursday, November 18, ahead of a charity match.

Within this period of their stay, Terry played with former Super Eagles stars including Celestine Babayaro, John Mikel Obi and Victor Moses.

Terry replied in an Instagram Q&A when asked whether he enjoyed his time in Nigeria and when next he will visit the place again: “You guys know how to enjoy life and I love the energy and passion.”

He also posted alongside the flag of Nigeria: “Unbelievable time.”

Terry departed the Blues in 2017 after his 22 years stint with the current Champions League holders to join Aston Villa.
