Some Nigerian social media users have likened Meta’s newly launched Threads app to 666 Mark of the Beast.
Daily Report Nigeria reports that Meta officially launched the text-based app on Wednesday.
Threads was intended to provide space for online conversations in real-time, a feature that has long been “Twitter’s main selling point.”
The app received thirty million signups on Thursday morning, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said on his verified Threads account.
Meanwhile, some Nigerians suspected the app was designed with the famous figure known as the Mark of the Beast or Antichrist.

One of the observers was Nigerian blogger Tunde Ednut.
Ednut wrote a seemingly funny comment about the app stating that he saw three numbers like 666 in the Threads logo.
He alerted his followers and claimed to have spotted an inverted “at” symbol in the Threads logo.
He implored netizens to pay close attention to what he had just noticed.
He said:
“Look well, me I dey see like 3 numbers Oo! You fit see am?
“Shey na my eyes? Shey no be say person don join cult.”
Another well-known social media personality and celebrity makeup artist, Jojostouch, shared similar thoughts with Tunde Ednut, using her page to update her fans and followers.
“I just tried to use different colours to trace this out, I no do again. This is not even the time to be doing anyhow and acting ignorant. All the signs of endtime are complete, it’s just a matter of time now.
