Super Eagles’ defender, Kevin Akpoguma shone through as he provided an assist as Hoffenheim deservedly emerged winners in the 5-0 win over Koln on Friday night.

The 26-year-old Kevin who was involved in Die Kraichgauer’s starting line-up performed brilliantly to the contribution of his side’s league victory at PreZero Arena.

Hoffenheim Coach Sebastian Hoeness, tactically and successfully built his defensive wall against Koln by pairing Kevin with Stefan Posch, David Raum and Pavel Kaderabek.

Togolese forward, Ihlas Bebou opened the scoring for Hoffenheim at half-hour mark when he found himself in a 1 on 1 situation with Die Geißböcke’s keeper following an assist from Andrej Kramaric of Croatia.

The 27-year-old Bebou doubled his side’s lead as he scored the second goal in the 49th minute.

It was indeed a fantastic back heeled goal and guess what? It was Kevin Akpoguma representing who assisted Bebou having directed it squarely in the box.

Christoph Baumgartner sealed the 3rd goal in the 51st minutes as Dennis Geiger netted in the 76th before Stefan Posch crowned it all three minutes before the final whistle.

The triumph has raised Hoffenheim to 8th position with 11 points after match day 8 of the German Bundesliga.

Nigerians would really be impressed seeing the Super Eagles players doing well at their various club side.
