Vice President Kashim Shettima has emphasized the Nigerian government’s commitment to building a resilient economy capable of withstanding future shocks.

Speaking at the 30th Nigerian Economic Summit (NES30) in Abuja, he stated, “As a nation, we must prioritize economic diversification,” underscoring the need for strategic reforms under the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Shettima highlighted that stability goes beyond crisis management; it involves proactive measures to strengthen the economy.

He noted, “Our focus is on sectors that can offer inclusive and sustainable growth, such as agriculture, manufacturing, and the digital economy,” emphasizing the importance of creating an environment conducive to entrepreneurial success.

The Vice President announced various initiatives aimed at fostering economic growth, including the establishment of MSME hubs and access to single-digit loans for manufacturers. “These initiatives will collectively grow the economy and ensure it remains competitive in Africa and globally,” he asserted.
