  • Oluremi Tinubu, has been elected as a member of the Steering Committee of the Organization of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD).

  • The election took place during the 29th Ordinary General Assembly in Addis Ababa, held alongside the 38th African Union Summit.

  • As part of the eight-member committee, she will represent West Africa and contribute to the organization’s projects and initiatives.

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has been elected as a member of the Steering Committee of the Organization of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD).

The election took place during the 29th Ordinary General Assembly in Addis Ababa, held alongside the 38th African Union Summit.

As part of the eight-member committee, she will represent West Africa along with another member.

Her tenure will last for two years, during which she will contribute to the organization’s projects and initiatives. Before this appointment, Tinubu has been actively involved in OAFLAD’s programs.

SERAP sues Tinubu over ‘failure to prosecute contractors in N167bn project fraud in MDAs’

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has filed a lawsuit against President Bola Tinubu over the failure to prosecute contractors involved in a N167 billion project fraud.

In the suit, SERAP is asking the court to compel President Tinubu to direct the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Olawale Edun, to name and ensure the prosecution of the contractors who collected over N167 billion from 31 MDAs but failed to execute any projects.
