Nigeria’s passport has been ranked 92nd on the Henley Passport Index, underscoring significant limitations in international travel freedom for its citizens.

The index evaluates passports based on the number of destinations accessible without a prior visa.

Currently, Singapore holds the top spot, offering the highest travel freedom. France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Japan are tied for second, while South Korea, Finland, Sweden, Austria, Ireland, Netherlands, and Luxembourg share third.

The U.S. is in eighth place. In Africa, South Africa is ranked 47th and Egypt 87th. War-torn nations such as Syria and Afghanistan occupy the lowest ranks.

The Henley Passport Index, updated monthly, relies on data from the International Air Transport Association and Henley & Partners, covering 199 passports and 227 destinations.
