Pastor Bowei Opukeme, the senior pastor of Dominion City Warri, has stated that the problems of Nigeria can only be solved by the application of wisdom.

The popular Warri-based cleric stated during his sermon on Sunday.

Commenting on the current state of the nation, Pastor Bowei attributed the current challenges to the unavailability of wisdom.

Emphasizing that Nigeria’s problems are beyond prayers, the clergyman called for Christians to get involved in active politics.

“Nigeria’s problems have since gone beyond prayers. What is needed to solve the challenges lingering in this country is wisdom.

“Unfortunately, many of our leaders don’t have the needed wisdom. Anybody praying for change in this country is wasting time. We have past that level. The need to apply wisdom is where we are,” he stressed.

“That is why, Christians must engage in active politics,” he stressed.

Continuing, Bowei charged members of his church actively involved in politics.

“Go and join a political party. Become a card carrying member of any political party of your choice so you can learn the ropes and go ahead to contest for elections. The Church must be ready to take its place in leading this country,” he added.
