Nigeria’s Minister of the Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen, has called and advocated death sentences for rapists and other perpetrators of related offences.
Tallen also advocated harsh penalty for child-labour offences and other dehumanising treatments against children.
The Nigerian Minister took her advocacy to the Adamawa state capital, Yola, on Friday, while noting the importance of religious and other opinion leaders to join the advocacy, so as to demand strict penalties against all forms of gender-based violence.
