The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has announced a reduction in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, in Abuja. The new price now stands at N910 per litre, down from N935.
However, the price adjustment has not yet taken effect in Lagos and other Nigerian cities, leading to questions over uniformity in pricing. The NNPC has not given a timeline for nationwide implementation.

Meanwhile, in a separate move, Dangote Petroleum Refinery has also slashed its gantry price to N825 per litre from the previous N835.
“This price adjustment reflects our commitment to easing the burden on Nigerians and increasing market competitiveness,” a source from the refinery stated.
The latest reduction follows a recent drop from N865 to N835 just last month, signalling intensifying competition in the domestic fuel market.
