Nollywood has been thrown into mourning as one of its veteran actors, Zulu Adigwe, has reportedly passed away.

Adigwe’s death was announced by movie producer Stanley Nwoko in an Instagram post.

Nwoko said:

I regret to announce the passing of a veteran actor, late Mr Zulu Adigwe.

‘The cause of his death is yet to be revealed. Rest in peace, good actor.”

Adigwe gained prominence for portraying fatherly characters in Nollywood films, including his breakthrough role as Mr B in the popular sitcom “Basi and Company.”

He also appeared in the highly successful 2019 movie “Living in Bondage: Breaking Free.”

Adigwe’s death occurred two weeks after Junior Pope and three others died in a boat accident in Anam River.

With the development, Nollywood has lost seven actors in 2024 including Sisi Quadri, Mr Ibu, Amaechi Muonagor, Andy Best, Jumoke Aderounmu, and Junior Pope.
