The Nigerian film industry, Nollywood, is in mourning following the reported demise of one of its rising stars, Adejumoke Aderounmu.
Aderounmu gained popularity for her portrayal of Esther in the television series “Jenifa’s Diary.”
It was said that the 37-year-old actress passed away in the early hours of Saturday, April 6, 2024.

The cause of her death remains undisclosed to the public as of press time.

During her lifetime, the Actress achieved recognition as the sole Nigerian nominee at the International Film Festival in Dallas, Texas.
She was honored for her outstanding performance as the best actress in a short film shot in 2013.
