According to the Police, the e-CMR will streamline the documentation and verification processes for vehicle ownership and related transactions.

The registration process can be completed online, and vehicle owners will need to provide their National Identification Number (NIN), email address, phone number, and house address, as well as their vehicle’s license number, chassis number, and engine number.

The Police have stated that the enforcement of the e-CMR is necessary to ensure a safer and more secure environment for vehicle ownership and to prevent the purchase of stolen vehicles by innocent buyers.

Vehicle owners are advised to register within the next 14 days to avoid any penalties.
