The police are investigating Ajaero and Ugboaja for suspected criminal intimidation, malicious damage to properties, and conduct likely to cause a breach of public peace.

According to the invitation letter, signed by CP Rufus Alajide, their presence are requested at the Force Intelligence Department (FID) Complex in Abuja on September 5, 2024, at 11 am.

Ajaero had earlier faced questioning over allegations of criminal conspiracy, terrorism financing, treasonable felony, subversion, and cybercrime.

He was accompanied by human rights lawyer Femi Falana and others during his previous visit to the Force Headquarters.

Upon his return to the NLC headquarters, Ajaero addressed a gathering of NLC members who had come to show their support.

The NLC President praised the labour movement as the most patriotic organization in the country, upholding its unwavering commitment to the nation’s well-being.

Ajaero described the police invitation as a mere hazard of being a labour leader, recalling his personal experiences with persecution during the Abacha regime in the 90s.
