NSCDC Arrests 76 at Gombe Gay Wedding

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested 76 youths suspected to be involved in same-sex relationships in Gombe.

The suspects were arrested at Duwa Plaza along Bauchi-Gombe Expressway while holding a homosexual birthday, and they had plans to hold a same-sex wedding before the NSCDC agents conducted a raid, disrupting the event in progress.

The Gombe NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Buhari Sa’ad, made the announcement while presenting the suspects to the media at the command’s headquarters in Gombe.

According to Sa’ad, 59 males were arrested, 21 willfully confessed to being homosexuals, and 17 females present at the scene were also picked up.

He added that the suspects will be charged to court to answer for their crime, which was a social vice; a crime in Gombe State.

Muhammad Muazu said:

They were arrested at Duwa plaza along Bauchi-Gombe expressway, holding homosexual birthday party and had plans to hold same sex wedding before our men raided the scene.

“59 males were arrested, 21 willfully confessed to being homosexuals and 17 females, being present at the scene we also picked up amongst them.”
