Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Benue State have arrested a man for allegedly attempting to vandalise electrical cables in the early hours of Sunday, June 1, 2025.

The suspect was caught in the act at Commissioner’s Village in Makurdi while trying to cut and steal electric cables connected to public infrastructure.

During a search, NSCDC officials reportedly found several unusual items on the suspect, including used and unused condoms as well as packs of instant noodles, sparking further curiosity about his motives and activities.

He remains in custody as investigations into the incident continue.
