The Niger State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC Niger) has arrested a car-snatching suspect, Ibrahim Sule, following a daylight incident on the Zungeru–Tegina Road in Rafi Local Government Area.
According to the command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Abubakar Rabiu Muti, in Minna, the car-snatching occurred on September 6, 2025, at around 8:30 pm after credible intelligence was received from the Tegina Divisional Office about a vehicle-snatching involving three suspects.

Officers of NSCDC Niger State quickly mobilized, leading to the arrest of Ibrahim Sule and the recovery of the stolen Honda Cross Tower.
Muti revealed that preliminary investigations indicate one of the suspects, Azi Mu’azu, allegedly poisoned the vehicle’s driver to take control, a key factor in the car-snatching incident.
He added that NSCDC Niger State is actively pursuing the remaining two suspects, who will be charged to face prosecution in court.
Muti further emphasized that NSCDC Niger State is collaborating with other security agencies to maintain a crime-free society, prevent car-snatching, and safeguard critical national assets and infrastructure in Niger State.
EFCC Ibadan Secures Conviction of 21 Online Fraudsters in Oyo
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC Ibadan) has successfully secured the conviction of 21 individuals involved in online fraud before the Federal High Court and High Court of Oyo State, sitting in Ibadan.
The convicts, including Waheed Hamid Aromose, Aliu Abayomi Victor, Ugbe Emmanuel Ukali, Ajewole Segun Abraham, and 17 others, faced separate charges ranging from impersonation and obtaining money by false pretense to retention of proceeds of crime.
