NSCDC Threatens To Shutdown Petrol Stations in Oyo

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Oyo state has threatened to shut down fuel stations belonging to members of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, (IPMAN) who has refused to comply with the N165 pump price.

According to reports, the price of fuel in the South-West states is between N200 and N250 per litre, especially at night which has pushed commercial motorists to increase fares by 100 per cent on intra and inter-state routes.

The State Commandant of NSCDC, Adarelewa Michael Akintayo, while addressing reporters on Sunday, February 27, reiterated the readiness of the corps to sanction erring fuel stations.
