Stakeholders of the National Union of Izon-Ebe Students, NUIS, in Western Zone have issued a one-week ultimatum to the Comrade Simeon Duoduo-led National Executive Council to organize an electoral convention in a location in the zone.
In a congress held on Monday 3 May, the stakeholders say the move is to allow Comrade Simeon and his fellow executives hand over power to a new leadership, as his tenure in office has long elapsed.
According to the Stakeholders, the ultimatum became necessary following the lackadaisical attitude the incumbent President has exhibited towards organizing a National Convention, or to hand over power for that matter.

In a statement signed by notable Stakeholders in Western Zone, the Electoral Committee inaugurated by Simeon Duoduo was also charged with implying methods that will make the election of a new leadership simple.
Resolutions drawn at the congress includes;
- That the National Executive Council led by Comrade Simeon Duoduo should hold an elective convention in Western Zone within one week.
- Non-students from the Electoral Committee should be removed and be replaced with students from the zones they represent.
- That there be a reduction of electoral form fees to an amount affordable for aspirants to purchase forms with and a refund be made to aspirants who already purchased forms at the earlier rates announced by the ELECO.
This is our stand as Stakeholders of the National Union of Izon-Ebe Students in Western Zone.
