NUIS Western Zone Students Summit to Hold November 1

The National Union of Izon-Ibe Students (NUIS) Western Zone will hold its upcoming Students Summit, a pivotal gathering aimed at empowering the next generation of leaders and professionals.

The summit themed, “A Creek Beyond Oil: Exploring Education, Skills, and Professionalism,” will spotlight the critical role of education and skill development in shaping a sustainable future for the Niger Delta region and beyond.

The much anticipated event will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024, by 11:00 AM at the P.T.I Lecture Theatre, Effurun Delta State.

The summit will be hosted by Comr. Gbajor Blessing Etwuamoyinrin, NUIS National Treasurer with attendees expected to gain insights from an array of esteemed speakers:

Keynote speakers include Mrs. Endurance Benekawei Nwanchukwu, who brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in advancing education and skills for youth empowerment.

Dr. Bumie Samuel Ovuru, Deputy Director and Head of the Estate Services Department, known for his expertise in sustainable community development, will also be joined by Prof. Dr. Ernst Josef Franzek, Executive Director and Founder of Legionnaire for Mankind’s Health, whose work emphasizes health as a foundation for human development.

Meanwhile, Amb. Azigbeotu Timibikonlolouwa Wisdom (B.Ed in Counselling, TRCN) will focus on the transformative power of education.

This summit provides a platform for students, educators, and professionals to collaborate and explore pathways beyond the traditional oil economy, highlighting the importance of professional skillsets and education in driving regional and personal growth.
