Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, former President of Nigeria, paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Lekan Balogun’s residence.
On Tuesday, former President Olusegun Obasanjo paid a visit to Balogun.
Mr Gbenga Adewusi, a former Chairman of Oyo State’s Ibadan North-East Local Government Area, accompanied Obasanjo to the Olubadan designate’s Alarere residence.

When Obasanjo arrived, he sat down at Balogun’s dining table.
According to reports, the host and the visitor later retired to a corner for a private conversation.
According to our source, Obasanjo was in Ibadan to congratulate Balogun on his selection as the next Olubadan.
The former President then assured the Olubadan designate that he would prostrate for him whenever he visited Ibadan after his installation.
Obasanjo, a native of Abeokuta, Ogun State, served as President of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007.
Balogun, on the other hand, served in the Oyo Central Senatorial District from 1999 to 2003.
The Olubadan-in-Council recently named the former university lecturer as the next Olubadan.
The Oyo State Government has also approved his appointment.
Dr Muhammed Kola Balogun, Balogun’s younger brother, currently represents Oyo South Senatorial District in the current National Assembly.
According to our source, the new monarch’s installation has been scheduled for March 11 in Ibadan.
