Obi Cubana Reveals Family’s age Longevity Curse

Obi Cubana, a well-known Nigerian businessman and socialite, revealed that no one in his family has ever lived to see 80. He shared that his late mother came close to breaking this generational pattern but unfortunately passed away at 79.

In an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwu, Obi Cubana explained that his family decided to honor his mother with an extravagant funeral because she almost succeeded in breaking the family’s longevity curse.

He recounted, “In my family, no one has ever lived past 80 years. My father died at 66, my grandmother at 75, and my grandfather at 78. My mother, who was also affected by this pattern, passed away at 79.”

Obi Cubana mentioned that his family had been hoping and planning for his mother to break the cycle. They had even begun saving for a grand celebration in her honor. However, she passed away on December 31, just after turning 79.

He added, “She almost made it to 80, and because of that, we decided to go all out for her burial. She tried her best, and we wanted to celebrate that effort in a big way.”
