He urged the public to disregard the rumour, warning that such fabrications cause needless anxiety for Obiano’s family, close friends, and the people of Anambra State who still hold him in high regard.
Obiano, who governed Anambra State from 2014 to 2022 and succeeded Peter Obi, remains an influential political figure. Born on August 8, 1955, the former governor hails from Aguleri in the Anambra East Local Government Area.
With the clarification from those closest to him, concerns surrounding the Obiano death rumour appear to have been laid to rest.
