Obotebe Kingdom: Awouziowu Festival Preparations Gather Momentum

Culture is adjudged to be the way of life of a people, a description that befits the culture oriented Umbi people of Obotebe Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area,Delta State, Nigeria.

Daily Report can confirm that preparations are in top gear for the 2020 Awouziowu festival to be a memorable event. This years event is billed to take place on the 15th of February.

Mr Ebike Okpako, Secretary General of the Okosu-otu Owubo, frontiers of the Awouziowu festival revealed in a chat with newsmen that this year’s ceremony will surely be a phenomenon to behold.

He added that all arrangements have been put in place with various activities lined up to brace up the fanfare before and after the main event.

On his part, Mr Kenebra Godspower, President of Obotebe Clan Youths, disclosed the readiness of the youth body to ensure peace and order is maintained during and after the event.

Kenebra stated that measures are already in place to make visiting guests feel at home. Presido noted that Saturday 10th has been declared a general sanitation all for the sake of the festival.

A walk around the community clearly echoes the readiness of the people to enjoin organizers in welcoming guests who surely will be entertained to the brim.
