Odidi Community Swears in Peter Okirikpa, Others as Executives
Leaders of Odidi Federated Community (OML 42) in Warri South-West LGA, on Saturday, swore in a new set of executives to pilot its affairs.
The new executives led by Prince Preye Okrikpa were inaugurated into office in a ceremony presided over by elders and critical stakeholders in Odidi.
Odidi is a community playing host to international oil companies such as the Nigeria Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) Neconde and among others.

The community had been embroiled in a gross leadership tussle for a long time until recently when the High Chief John Aribogha led committee conceded defeat.
According to Chief Arigbogha, he conceded to give peace a chance, which was more paramount to the Odidi people than personal interest.
“We went to the court, but I looked at the matter and withdrew the case, today we are one, with my advice, I hope that they will work well and bring development to the community,” Aribogha said.
He charged the new executives to put hands together to ensure that peace and development thrive in the oil-rich community.
On his part, the newly inaugurated Chairman, Prince Preye promised to run an all-inclusive administration towards ensuring growth, development and sustainable peace in the area.
“We will continue to do more, make sure that we bring Government to our doorstep and foster rapid development of the area. We were having an internal dispute as a family, but by the grace of God we have settled, We are in one accord now, unitedly, we will work with the federal and state government to ensure the development of the area”.
Other members of the new Executive Committee includes Chief Solomon Lokiri – vice-chairman, Clement Numah – secretary, Michael K. – Public Relations Officer, and 18 others.
