The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), Federal Polytechnic Offa, has strongly condemned the deplorable state of the institution, blaming the management’s incompetence and absence for the crisis.
“The union is embarrassed to announce the continued despicable state of our institution… We cannot continue to show understanding while the management is bullying all and sundry on duties that are their absolute preserve,” said Idowu Atilola, ASUP Chairman.
The union highlighted issues such as the recent power disconnection due to non-payment, poor infrastructure, and a neglected school environment. They also accused the registry department of incompetence, mischief, and abuse of office.

“We have discovered that this trend, if not curbed, is a disaster in the making, and we must take proactive steps to save the souls of the staff,” Atilola warned.
The union demanded a holistic review of registry operations and threatened to declare the school unfit for academic activities if their demands are not met.
“We will be compelled to take drastic measures, including strike action, if the management fails to address these issues,” He added.
