Ogheye Floating Market: Funkekeme Lauds Okowa | Daily Report Nigeria

The Director-General of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Campaign Council in Delta State for the 2023 elections, Solomon Funkekeme, has commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on the Ogheye Floating Market.

Funkekeme, who is a former Commissioner of Works in the state, described the project as a landmark statement by the Okowa administration.

The erstwhile lawmaker said this while speaking with our correspondent during the commissioning of the project.

Funkekeme, who joined the PDP National Chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu and other critical officers ot the party, said;

“This is simply a masterpiece by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa. It is and will remain a landmark statement of his administration. Saying I’m impressed is an understatement.

“This is to further prove that the PDP has good intentions for Deltans. That’s why they must vote the party again in 2023 so that more good things will continue to come.”

On his part, the PDP National Chairman hailed Governor Okowa on “his outstanding development efforts in the state, especially in the construction of the modern market which would contribute immensely to the growth of commerce in the area”.

Aside the the multi-billion naira Ogheye Floating Market, Ayi also commissioned the Odokun Secondary School; 3km pedestrian road linking Oboghoro to Ogheye-Dimigun, and a pedestrian bridge crossing Jorojoro creek to Ogheye-Dimigun, all in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State.
