Ogun First Lady Distributes Food Items To Women Group, Widows,Others

In reaction to the hardship and high cost of living in the country, the first lady of Ogun state, Bamidele Abiodun has shared some food items.

Mrs Bamidele reportedly shared rice to almost 50 residents in the Abeokuta area of the state, of which most recipient were women groups, widows, and people living with disabilities, among others.

She added that the First Lady of the federation, Mrs Tinubu had distributed bags of rice to all 36 states in the country, and this exercise is said to continue throughout the next few weeks.

’It was crucial to support the most vulnerable because they form an important part of society. Empowering women too is a must, due to the critical roles they play at home and in society.

‘’We will identify more groups that require urgent intervention and do our best to provide relief materials for them. This gesture will not only strengthen the economy, but it will promote peace and stability within communities’’, she said.
